REFUND POLICY

At Carvalho Construction LLC, we stand behind our work and aim to ensure every client is satisfied with the process and results. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be requested for deposits and prepayments related to our construction services.

30-DAY REFUND ELIGIBILITY

If you have paid a consultation deposit or project prepayment and decide not to proceed, you may request a refund within 30 days of the payment date, provided that:

  • No construction work has been performed on your project
  • No custom materials have been ordered or purchased on your behalf
  • No permits have been applied for or obtained
  • No third-party services have been engaged or paid on your behalf

If all of these conditions are met, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund of your deposit or prepayment.

NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS

The following are generally non-refundable once incurred:

  • Completed Labor – Any work that has already been performed, including demolition, framing, installation, or finishing work
  • Custom Materials – Materials ordered specifically for your project that cannot be returned or resold
  • Permit Fees – Fees paid to local authorities for permits, inspections, or approvals
  • Third-Party Costs – Payments made to subcontractors, suppliers, or other service providers on your behalf
  • Site Preparation – Any preparatory work completed at the project site

HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND

To request a refund, please contact us by email or phone with the following information:

  • Your name and contact information
  • The date and amount of your payment
  • A brief explanation of your refund request

REVIEW PROCESS

Once we receive your refund request, we will review it within 5-7 business days. During this time, we will:

  • Verify the payment details and date
  • Assess whether any work, materials, or costs have been incurred
  • Determine the eligible refund amount, if applicable

We will notify you of our decision by email or phone. If your refund is approved, it will be processed within 10 business days using the original payment method when possible.

PARTIAL REFUNDS

In cases where some work has been completed or costs have been incurred, we may offer a partial refund. The refund amount will be calculated by deducting the value of completed work and non-recoverable expenses from your original payment.

We will provide a clear breakdown of any deductions so you understand how the refund amount was determined.

PROJECT CANCELLATION

If you need to cancel a project after work has begun, please contact us as soon as possible. We will work with you to minimize additional costs and provide an accounting of work completed and materials used.

Cancellation terms may also be outlined in your project agreement, which takes precedence over this general policy.
