FREQUENTLY ASKED

Answers to the questions we hear most often. If you don't see what you're looking for, reach out—we're happy to talk through the details.

The first meeting is a conversation, not a sales pitch. We'll walk through your project goals, look at the site if possible, discuss timing, and answer questions about how we work. If it's a good fit, we'll follow up with a written scope and estimate. No obligation, no pressure.
Yes. Most of our projects are residential—renovations, exterior improvements, and structural work for homeowners. We also take on select light commercial jobs, particularly tenant improvements and small-scale builds where hands-on attention makes a difference.
Absolutely. Many clients come to us with a rough idea, not a finished plan. We're comfortable helping you define what's realistic, what to prioritize, and how to phase work if the budget requires it. Planning is part of the job.
We break projects into phases and give you honest estimates for each. If something might cause delays—permit timelines, material lead times, weather—we'll flag it early. You'll always know where we are in the schedule.
We're based in Watsonville and serve the greater Santa Cruz County area, including Capitola, Aptos, Scotts Valley, and surrounding communities. For larger projects, we're open to travel within the Central Coast region.
If you've paid a consultation deposit or prepayment and the project hasn't started, you may request a refund within 30 days. Completed labor, custom materials, permit fees, and third-party costs are non-refundable. Just reach out by email or phone to start the process.
You don't need to have everything figured out. If you have photos, sketches, or a rough idea of what you want, bring them along. If you're not sure where to start, that's fine too—we'll help you work through the possibilities during the conversation.
Yes. After we've discussed the scope and visited the site, we provide a detailed written estimate that breaks down labor, materials, and any other costs. We don't believe in vague ballpark figures—you'll know exactly what you're paying for before any work begins.
